Omaha Express and Lady Express Join the National Basketball League – United States (NBL-US)

The National Basketball League – United States (NBL-US) is proud to officially announce that the Omaha Expressand Lady Express are joining the league as full members of Division 1 for both the men’s and women’s programs. This marks a historic expansion for the league into Omaha, Nebraska, and further strengthens the NBL-US’s mission of providing high-level professional development opportunities for basketball players across the nation.

The Express will represent Omaha with pride, bringing the city’s rich tradition of sports passion and community support into the rapidly growing NBL-US family. Both teams will compete in the upcoming 2025–2026 season, showcasing elite talent and a brand of basketball that is fast, competitive, and community-driven.

What’s Next for the Express

In the weeks ahead, the Omaha Express and Lady Express will roll out a series of announcements that include:

  • Coaching Staff Hirings: The leadership team is in the process of interviewing and finalizing head coaches and assistant coaches who will bring vision, experience, and culture to the Express programs.
  • Staff Recruitment: Local opportunities for game-day staff, operations, and marketing will soon be available to help bring the Express brand to life.
  • Tryout Dates: Open tryouts will be scheduled in Omaha to give players the opportunity to earn a roster spot and represent their city in Division 1 competition.
  • Home Game Location: The official venue for home games will be revealed soon, ensuring Omaha basketball fans have a central hub to support their new teams.
